My SoulMate respects and supports an individual's right to privacy and protection of their personal information. This applies to our members (the “members”), prospective members as well as users of the website. We are aware that you trust us when you provide us with your data and we are committed to always maintaining this trust. My SoulMate collects and uses personal information about prospective members for the following purposes:
• Communicate with those who wish to become members to provide them with more information on the services offered.

• Assess the eligibility and admissibility of each prospective member.
Personal information that My SoulMate may collect from a prospective Member in order to assess their eligibility may include, but is not limited to, their name, telephone number, age, marital status, occupation, name of employer, height and weight, income, health issues and criminal record. ​
Employees of My SoulMate who have access to the personal information of current and prospective members are required to maintain the confidentiality of such information. They are not permitted to use this information for any purpose other than providing the services they provide to members on behalf of My SoulMate.
Disclosure
My SoulMate will not disclose the personal information of prospective members except as permitted by applicable privacy legislation or required by law. However, My SoulMate may use and disclose Personal Information collected from a prospective Member who becomes an Active Member in accordance with the provisions set forth below which govern the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.

Assess and identify compatibilities and possible matches between members.
The personal information that My SoulMate may collect and use for the purposes specified above may include, but is not limited to, age, marital status, height and weight, relationship history, religion, occupation, income, level of education, essential characteristics sought in a partner and personality traits.
Disclosure
Once My SoulMate has identified a possible match between two members, it will communicate personal information from one member to the other so that each can approve or not the result. If both members agree, My SoulMate will communicate each other's contact details so that they can communicate with each other and make an appointment.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
My SoulMate does not lend, trade, rent or sell any personal information it collects from current or prospective members, whether such information is submitted through its website, by mail, by telephone or in person at our offices. ​
Personal information may only be disclosed to third parties in the following cases: the achievement of the purposes defined previously in this text, when the legislation governing the respect of privacy authorizes it or if the law requires it.
REQUESTS FOR ACCESS AND CORRECTION TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
My SoulMate will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate and complete. In the event of errors or omissions, the applicable legislation governing the respect of privacy allows people to have access to their personal information or to request that corrections be made to said information, which is in the hands or under control of My SoulMate. My SoulMate's Privacy Officer will assist the individual in processing their request for access to personal information.

In certain exceptional situations, My SoulMate may not be able to provide access to certain personal information it holds about an individual. In these cases, My SoulMate will notify the applicant in writing of the reasons for the refusal.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
My SoulMate will use reasonable efforts to protect the personal information it holds against unauthorized access or alteration, disclosure or destruction. My SoulMate regularly monitors its systems to detect potential vulnerabilities and attacks and also regularly reviews its data collection, storage and processing practices to update its physical, technical and organizational security measures.
